sellXed is now a product of the Wallee Group AG. wallee offers comprehensive services and products in the area of payment processing. This also includes the further development of selected plugins based on sellXed technology. wallee plugins are available for selected store systems and offer a wide range of functions with extensive options for payment processing and management.
With wallee, you have the option of using your own acquiring contracts from your payment service providers or using wallee directly as a PSP. We would be happy to advise you personally on the migration from sellXed to wallee plugins.

What is sellXed?

sellXed is a brand of the former Customweb GmbH and now belongs to the Wallee Group AG. Under the name sellXed, so-called payment modules (plugins, extensions, modules) were offered with which you can connect your payment service provider with your e-commerce store system. I have purchased a sellXed module. What does it contain?

When you purchase a payment module, two different contracts are concluded:
1) Software license agreement
This grants you a "(...) non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the software (...)", i.e. the payment module. You can therefore use the plugin for an unlimited period of time. You can find all information about the license agreement under this link.
2) Software maintenance contract
The software maintenance contract is concluded between you and Customweb GmbH (service provider) at the same time as the payment module is purchased. During the term of this contract, the customer shall receive access to the latest version of the licensed program provided by the service provider (access to "Updates and Upgrades"), as well as telephone support during business hours ("Customer Support"). The software maintenance contract generally has a term of one year. There is no automatic renewal. All information on the software maintenance contract can be found under this link.
Why is sellXed being discontinued?

sellXed plugins have made it easy to connect payment service providers and store systems. In recent years, both the number and the complexity of service providers, store systems and payment methods have increased significantly. In order to be able to offer consistent quality with a modern range of functions, ever greater development and support effort has recently been required. In addition, many payment service providers now offer their own solutions to connect their gateway to the corresponding store systems. When will sellXed be discontinued?

As of May 01, 2024, sellXed payment modules can no longer be purchased (removal of check-out and download option on the sellXed website). Existing software maintenance contracts can also no longer be extended from this date. This means that the last software maintenance contracts will expire on 30.04.2025.
Will my plugin then no longer work?

Yes, the plugin also works beyond the specified dates! By purchasing the plugin, you have acquired a license to use it for an unlimited period of time. However, the plugin will no longer be actively developed. This means that changes in your store system, at your payment service provider, new requirements and much more can impair or completely restrict the function of your existing plugin. Please also note that customer support can no longer be offered after your current software maintenance contract expires. We therefore advise you to look for an alternative option at an early stage. As far as possible, you can obtain information on this page or alternatively from your payment service provider.
Where can I find information about my current contract (license)?

Log in to your sellXed account: Login.
You will find information on your last orders and the term of the current software maintenance contract under "My downloads" for the corresponding order (Order #).
Will the license server be switched off?

Today, active sellXed payment modules are checked at regular intervals with our license server for a valid license agreement and the status of the software maintenance contract. To ensure that your payment module continues to function, we do not switch off the license server. The server automatically provides positive feedback on the validity of the license.
