What is the GDPR
The GDPR is the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR adapts the previous Data Protection Directive (from 1995) to the digital age: It is being modernised and updated. How must personal data be handled today? The requirements are laid down in the GDPR. The GDPR will enter into force on 25 May 2018.
What is personal data?
Personal data is information about a user that allows conclusions to be drawn about who the user is. Personal data therefore includes information such as names, date of birth, email addresses, national insurance numbers, bank data, online data, but also physical characteristics such as gender or clothing size. The GDPR regulates how personal data must be handled.
Is wallee DSGVO compliant?
Yes. When the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force, we as a provider comply with the legal requirements.
What is a contract for commissioned processing (GCP)?
As soon as you as a trader transmit personal data to third parties for processing, the trader is jointly responsible for the security of this data. We set out the principles of how wallee processes data, for what purposes and, above all, how it is secured in the appendix to the GTC in the order data processing agreement.
Do I need a contract for commissioned processing (GCP)?
If you as a company have a registered office in the European Union (EU) or process personal data of EU citizens, then the GDPR also affects you. You must then also conclude a contract on commissioned processing with wallee, among others, in order to be data protection compliant. In order to simplify this for you, we have integrated the GCU as an appendix to our GTC. You will find the reference to the current version above.
